Much to the dismay of producers and Netflix execs, the hype surrounding the streaming service's new release, Rebecca, has been seemingly overshadowed by its star Lily James' recent off-screen drama involving her romp with an older (and very married) fellow actor. But alas, life imitates art - the film itself depicts Lily as an ingénue haunted by her husband's first wife. The enduring tale (an adaptation of which earned Alfred Hitchock his one and only Oscar for Best Picture in 1941) comes from the Daphne Du Maurier novel of the same name.
