Standard Grill and Le Bain

The Standard Grill and Le Bain
The Standard Grill If the simple and eclectic menu isn't enough of a reason to visit the Standard Grill then perhaps the fact that it is right underneath two of the best nightclubs in New York will give you that extra push to make that trip down to 14th and Washington St. With influences from Spain, Italy and France the menu crafted by chef Dan Silverman is able to offer a little bit of everything while still producing quality food for the restaurant's 285 tables. One of the more popular dishes is the half-dozen oysters with a glass of Dom Perignon because who doesn't like to start their meal off with a glass of Dom? [Photo via] Le Bain If you didn't drink too much at dinner, head on up to the 18th floor of the Standard Hotel to further your champagne fix. Some ask themselves if the Standard is actually a hotel or just a bunch of restaurants and clubs in one building. At the top floor of this hotel lies two clubs, Le Bain and the Boom Boom Room. The Boom Boom Room remains one of the toughest doors to get through in this city. Le Bain next door, however, offers a strict yet much more lax door policy than it's neighbor. André Balazs and Andre Saravia bring you this very sleek boite with easily the best views of any nightclub in New York. Don't be afraid to let loose in the hot tub which sits in the middle of the club because Le Bain just installed lockers underneath the benches to store your clothes in while you take a dip.
