Luke Brian (Partner): There is something special about GoldBar, and obviously I’m not the only person who feels this way. The design, vibe, and location is perfect. It simply never gets old. Of course the longevity also has a lot to do with all the great people that have been involved with the brand since day one, but it also has taken on a life of its own. What happens inside has always really mirrored a special part of New York culture. It’s like a wonderful little clubhouse away from everything, but still in the center of it all.

Kevin Nee (Partner): The detail that went into creating the venue was something that doesn't exist anymore. The founders wanted to give people an experience, a story, and people gravitated towards that. I think when you create something with that much passion, it lasts, and people will always come back for more.

Jayma Cardoso (Founder): The premise behind GoldBar was a fictional story of an Italian Count who had built this decadent gilded space for his friends and family to gather and celebrate the joys of life. The room itself is intimate and in many ways the design alone creates a familial vibe. My favorite event was The Masque Ball, a glamorous venetian style affair. It was lavish and the lord of the lair would have definitely approved of the free-flowing champagne, formal attire, and chic feathered masks.
