Baby, Baby, Baby, Baby! Socials left and right are expecting, and New Yorker’s are looking forward to every minute with the new additions to some of Manhattan’s power couples-about-town.  So, want to see where the newest socialites will be sprouting from?

Minnie Mortimer and director/writer husband Stephen Gaghan are expecting their first child together on February 4th. The two social powerhouses have been together for almost two years after their fairytale wedding in May 2007. The addition to the Mortimer clan combined with Gaghan’s Hollywood grandeur is nothing short of exciting. Designer and director genes? This promises to be some very artistic offspring.

FameGame founder and internet guru Tatiana Platt, along with architect/interior designer husband Campion Platt are expecting their first baby (boy!) February 2nd. Patty Raynes hosted a chic a baby shower at Le Cirque, complete with high-end guests including Katie Ford, Muffie Potter Aston, Valesca Guerrand-Hermes, Anne Hearst, Kelly Bensimon, Somers Farkas, and Marcia Mishaan. All baby blue gifts were banned, and guests were asked to stick to brown, yellow, and orange in order to complement the minimalist vibe of their Soho penthouse. The girls’ lunch was a huge success, and Tatiana was beaming as brightly as ever—that boy is privy to one lucky gene pool!

PR maven (and notorious Hamptonite) Lizzie Grubman and husband Chris Stern welcomed their second son, Jack Alexander on January 22nd. The baby actually came two months before its due date, but Lizzie and baby Jack are said to be doing famously (literally) and are happy at home with their family. This is Lizzie and Chris’ second son, Harrison Irving being their first born in 2006. We’re sure Harrison is happy to have a little brother to play with, and maybe eventually run the PR world.

This passed Friday, Rose Group Chairman Louis Rose and his beautiful wife Alexandra Lind Rose celebrated their seventh anniversary along with the birth of their daughter, Kingsley Anne (what a wonderful name, no?). The party was thrown at 583 Park Avenue, and guests were asked to wear black or red formal attire for the evening of dinner and dancing. While Kingsley was born this passed August, the excitement over her arrival has yet to die down; do we have a debutante in the making?

And finally, Last Sunday, Upper East Side doctor to the stars, Dr. Howard Sobel and his wife Gayle gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, Jake Sobel. The couple is delighted and sent their nearest and dearest overjoyed private messages announcing baby Jake’s arrival.
