Must Love Macs: Apple Launches The Geekiest Dating Site Yet

by Chiara Atik · May 5, 2010

You like your significant others, but you LOVE your iPad. This makes dating difficult. Where is an Apple aficionado supposed to find love? On a special dating site created by Apple geeks, for apple geeks, natch.-

Cupidtino (Get it? Cupertino? Cupidtino? It's humor only Steve Jobs' mother could love.) is a new dating platform for Apple fanboys and girls. According to the site:

"Diehard Mac & Apple fans often have a lot in common-personalities, creative professions, a similar sense of style and aesthetics, taste [ed: which for some reason is italicized?], and of course a love for technology."

SOMEbody thinks very highly of Mac Fans!

"We believe these are enough reasons for two people to meet and fall in love, and so we created the first Mac-inspired dating site to help you find other Machearts around you."

Oh no they didn't just try to coin the word "Machearts"!

    The site's Twitter feed explains:

@cuptdtinoCA Between us we have 2 iPads, 4 Macbook PRos, 2 iMacs, 6 iPhones, and countless iPods. ps We're mostly single :)

First of all, what does mostly single mean? Secondly, maybe once you stop making an affinity for a brand your number one dating requirement, things will go a little smoother in the love department?

And what will the PC dating site description be? If you're Type-A, square, but actually know how to use a computer without it being made simple for you, click here to find love?

This whole thing is fascinating. I didn't know people were quite SO obsessed with Apple products as to want to dictate their future relationships based on the product, but we'll be very interested to see when the site officially launches in 2010.
